How to maintain solar photovoltaic panels?

2024-05-29 Oree Solar

Solar photovoltaic panels are currently the most widely used renewable energy power generation products. Whether in large-scale parks or remote areas, on the roofs of rural households, on the sea, on the river, or in inaccessible areas of the plateau, they can be reasonably matched and installed according to the actual area available for installation and the use requirements to generate electricity to meet the actual electricity demand.

Solar photovoltaic panels, inverters, junction boxes, grid-connected cabinets, box transformers, switch stations, cables, brackets, control systems, etc. form a complete photovoltaic power generation system to provide users with green electricity.

As the most important equipment for absorbing solar radiation in photovoltaic power generation systems, the maintenance of photovoltaic panels is very important in actual use. Correct maintenance can extend the life of the system and improve performance.

Before cleaning, check whether the cables and lines are damaged or adhered, wear labor protection products in strict accordance with the procedures, take good protection, wear safety belts, and prepare safety ladders and other tools to avoid sudden dangerous accidents such as electric shock and falls.

1. First of all, a maintenance plan should be formulated according to the local weather characteristics for regular cleaning. If there is more dust and dirt, the cleaning frequency should be appropriately increased. When cleaning, you can use a soft brush or sponge and other detergents to gently wipe the panel surface, and then rinse with clean water. Do not use hard brushes or corrosive detergents or dirty water, otherwise the surface of the photovoltaic panel will be damaged or not cleaned. It is best to clean in the morning or evening when there is less power generation to minimize the impact of cleaning on the system power generation.

2. Secondly, the installation should be reasonably designed according to the characteristics of the installation site. It cannot be installed in the area blocked by buildings or trees. During maintenance, the surrounding trees should be trimmed in time or other objects should be removed to block the objects. In cold areas, ice and snow may cover the surface of the photovoltaic panel. It is necessary to remove ice and snow in time or add snow melting heating devices to avoid the photovoltaic panel being blocked and reducing the efficiency of the photovoltaic power generation system.

3. Once again, we should regularly check whether the cable connection of the photovoltaic panel is firm during actual maintenance. Check the wear of the cable, etc. If problems are found, repair or replace the cable in time.

4. Regularly check the power generation performance of the photovoltaic power generation system. If the monitoring data finds that the power generation has dropped significantly or the system has a fault, it should be repaired in time.

5. During installation, strictly follow the installation specifications, avoid exposing the panels to high temperatures, insulate the brackets and metal parts of the solar photovoltaic panels from the ground to avoid accidents caused by grounding current, carefully check whether the brackets and other connecting screws are corroded and rusted, and ensure that the solar panels are firmly installed. Etc.
